At Black Lotus Kakuto Karate/Ju-Jitsu we train SVT Knockdown Karate & Combudo. SVT (Standing Vale Tudo) Knockdown is an old school ‘all in’ ‘Knockdown’ sport that combines Karate & JuJitsu. Our training comprises punches, kicks, throwing, submissions & some ground striking along with fitness/conditioning with its roots in the Kyokushin lineage of Karate. We emphasise ‘Karate-do’ should be a way of life not just a combat sport.
Kakuto Karate/Ju-Jitsu is not only a sport or a means of self-defence, it is a complex path to personal development that combines physical exercise, mental discipline, and spiritual growth. The martial art as a whole requires not only strength and techniques but also deep inner balance, self-control, determination, and a very strong will. In Kakuto Karate, the body is used as an instrument of the spirit. After constant hard and long training, the physical transformation of athletes is connected with the inner development of the personality. The qualities each trainee acquires are fundamental for success in martial arts and all aspects of life. It is a sport that “opens” many doors for you, whether to great athletic achievements or to become a real person.
Kakuto Karate does NOT contain Kata instead, Kakuto Karate & SVT Knockdown focusses on full contact knockdown style training.
